Multiplication Practice
From the Teacher:
In math class this week, we will continue Chapter 2 in the book. We will review even and odd numbers and place value of 3- and 4-Digit Numbers. This includes knowing standard form, expanded form, and word form which is discussed on page 22 in the book. This week we will also discuss numeric and geometric patterns. We will have a test on Chapter 2 on Thursday of this week. In third grade we combine Social Studies and Science into a block and alternate subjects each week. This week we will continue our Science unit on the Human Body: Skeletal System. We will be putting together a Mr. Bones puzzle and dissecting owl pellets in class! We will have a test on Friday on all of the information we have learned in class about bones: a skeleton provides support, movement, and protection; the human skeleton has 206 bones; bones of many mammals are similar in number and size, but differ in shape, and the shape of a bone is often a clue to its function. Vocabulary: bones, cartilage, joint, skeleton, skull, torso
