This week we will continue our AMSTI Rocks and Minerals unit. We will focus on Chapters 7-9 in the Science book. Students received new reading logs for the month of November; these are due completed by THIS Friday. The completed November Math Calendars are due THIS Wednesday. For the month of November, we will be reading the book, Amazing Grace by Mary Hoffman and discussing the character trait of perseverance and maintaining good friendships. We will focus on using repeated addition, skip counting, arrays, intersecting lines, and drawing pictures to solve multiplication problems. In Grammar this week, we will continue discussing Possessive Nouns. This week we will discuss the history of Thanksgiving during our Social Studies block. Students received new reading logs for the month of November. Please remember that reading logs MUST show a total of 60 or more minutes of reading per week. November has 4 weeks (we will not count the week of Thanksgiving), so that would be 60 x 4 = 240 minutes total for the month of November. For the month of November, we will be reading the book, Amazing Grace by Mary Hoffman and discussing the character trait of perseverance and maintaining good friendships. If you have access to the Internet at home, you can research the author, Mary Hoffman, to learn more about her and her books.
