(This website has a lot of practice games and activities for the spelling and vocabulary words. Just click on interactive games, spelling, or vocabulary. This week we are on Lesson 7.)

From the Teacher:

In math class this week, we will finish Chapters 4 and 5 in the book. We will be reviewing 3 and 4 Digit Addition and Subtraction with and without regrouping. We will have a test on these chapters on Friday. In third grade we combine Social Studies and Science into a block and alternate subjects each week. This week we will complete an investigation about muscles for science. We will also be reading the story, The Graves Family, by Patricia Polacco this month and discussing the importance of developing good, healthy friendships and respect for others. If you have access to the Internet at home, you can research the author, Patricia Polacco to learn more about her writing and books in order to encourage the students to read more of her books. Flip-It binders and Reading Logs have started this week and will continue until the end of the year. Students will do Reading on Mondays and Wednesdays and Math on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students should read for 15 minutes each night Monday through Thursday and you should document this on their Reading Logs. Reading Logs will be graded monthly and Flip-It binders weekly.
