Newsletter

Soon after we return from next week's spring break, it will be time to begin ARMT testing. This testing will be held April 10-13. To help students prepare for this test, we are reviewing reading and math skills they need to be familiar with for the ARMT. Please continue to review and study these skills and words with your child. Also, remember to continue studying and reviewing multiplication facts!

From the Teacher:

In math class this week, we will continue a review of all standards taught during the First through Third Nine Weeks. We will focus on multiplication, division, and equivalent fractions. We will also continue daily math intervention groups. We are doing this in an effort to prepare the students for the ARMT+ test in April. During Language Arts time, we will be preparing the students for the upcoming ARMT test. We will NOT go on to Lesson 26 this week. We do expect the students to learn the 15 words above for the spelling and vocabulary tests this Friday. This week we will read and discuss Chapter 9 in our Communities book which is about spending and saving money. For the month of March, we will be reading the book, The Three Questions by Jon J. Muth (based on a story by Leo Tolstoy) and completing activities related to this book. If you have access to the Internet at home, you can research the author to learn more about him and his books.
