From the Teacher:

In math class this week, we will be discussing strategies students can use with their multiplication facts. We will focus on using repeated addition, skip counting, arrays, intersecting lines, and drawing pictures to solve multiplication problems. In Grammar this week, we will discuss Possessive Nouns. This week we will continue our AMSTI Rocks and Minerals unit. Students received new reading logs for the month of November. Please remember that reading logs MUST show a total of 60 or more minutes of reading per week. November has 4 weeks (we will not count the week of Thanksgiving), so that would be 60 x 4 = 240 minutes total for the month of November. For the month of November, we will be reading the book, Amazing Grace by Mary Hoffman and discussing the character trait of perseverance and maintaining good friendships. If you have access to the Internet at home, you can research the author, Mary Hoffman, to learn more about her and her books.
